Here’s a brief overview of how to take your business to the next level.

A lot of people get into this business because they like houses. There are people who just want to make a little money, people who want to make a lot of money, and people who want to control their own time. All of those things can get you in trouble if you’re not actually committed to growing a business at the end of the day.

You have to be business-minded to set yourself on a path to success. I was in this business for about 26 years at RE/MAX and ended up reaching a plateau of around $20 million in production per year. It’s not a bad place to be, but I wasn’t able to launch it to the next level. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. This is when I discovered the power of coaching.

“Once you form good habits, you’ll have good results.”

I hired a high-level coach, and the first year after hiring him, my income increased from $500,000 to $750,000. The next year it went up to $900,000, and the year after that it increased to over $1 million. Thinking about my business and not just the job of real estate put me on this path.

Being a real estate agent isn’t all about buying and selling homes. A lot of people want to get to a point in this business where they don’t have to work all the time. Once you form good habits, you’ll get good results. If you have great habits, you’ll see great results.

Once you’ve built things up to where you can walk away, that’s when you can truly call it a business. If you’re still involved in the day-to-day operations and have to be there every single day, it’s not a business that will ever run itself.

If you have questions for me about running a successful real estate business or anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
