Keeping track of your transactions is tough without systems and checklists.

I’ve been a real estate agent for 40 years now, and I have agents that ask me questions on a daily basis. Just the other day, I was asked how I keep track of all my transactions. Today I’ll share how I stay organized. 

Keeping track of your transactions can be challenging, especially if you’re doing both listings and sales and you have more than three transactions per month. I only work listings and refer all of my buyers out. It’s a good idea to pick which side of the transaction you want to focus on. 

Once you decide which side you want to specialize in, you need systems and checklists in place so that you don’t drop the ball on any of the processes. What’s even more important is to follow through with those systems and checklists. You have to train yourself to be disciplined enough to follow them. If you do, you’ll make fewer mistakes, and you’ll never have to wonder about what’s coming next in a transaction.
